Oilless bushings represent a class of inlaid solid lubrication bearings. They have a high-strength copper alloy substrate which incorporates a specially formulated solid lubricant and lubricating oil. These release the lubricant and solid lubricant gradually during the friction process.
Oilless bushings find wide application in a variety of industries and equipment, such as injection molding machines, automotive molds, engineering machinery, food machinery and water turbines.
The alloy materials used mainly include ZCuZn25A16Fe3Mn3, and also ZCe4Ni4Mn2, GCr15 and HT250, among others.
The corresponding standard materials are as follows:
• DIN standard: G-CuZn25A15, G-CuA110Ni, 100Cr6.
• JIS standard: HBsC4, A1BC3, SUJ2, FC250.
• ASTM/UNS standards: C86300, C95500, 52100.
• BS standards: HTB2 and AB2, along with other materials.
The maximum use temperature of these oilless bushings is 400 °C.
Solid lubricants are composed of Graphite, Graphite + MoS2, or PTFE + Graphite + Olefin, and are suitable for use in atmospheric environments, at high temperatures and high loads, in seawater and at high pressures.
