The transportation and handling of bulky materials has become a crucial aspect of modern industry. As a leading provider of heavy duty apron feeder, we offer high-quality solutions for a diverse range of industries. In this article, we will provide a comprehensive overview of the operational principles, key components, purchasing considerations, machine lubrication requirements, and maintenance aspects of heavy-duty apron feeder, highlighting their indispensable role in specific applications.     Which Industries Need Heavy Duty Apron Feeder?   The heavy duty apron feeder is an indispensable piece of equipment in a multitude of industrial contexts, including mining, steel production, cement manufacturing, and power generation. Its primary function is to continuously and uniformly convey a wide range of lumpy and granular materials from the stockpile or silo to the crushing plant, conveyor, or treatment process. This equipment is designed to withstand harsh working environments and high-intensity material transportation demands, ensuring the efficient operation of industrial production.   How does the Heavy Duty Apron Feeder work?   The heavy duty apron feeder is driven by a motor, which is finally transmitted to the spindle device through the high-speed shaft coupling, reducer, and locking disk. The active sprocket drives the traction chain and the load chain plate fixed on it to move in a straight line, thus enabling the conveyance of materials. This equipment boasts a robust structure and exceptional wear resistance, making it well-suited for material conveyance in challenging working environments.   Main Structure of Heavy Duty Apron Feeder     Our heavy duty apron feeder consists of driving device, spindle device, frame, lower carrier rollers, upper carrier chain rollers, load bearing rollers, running mechanism, tail tensioner, guide chute and head guard and other main parts.   How to Choose Heavy Duty Apron Feeder?   The following factors should be considered when selecting an appropriate heavy duty apron feeder:   • Material Characteristics: Consider the particle size, moisture, viscosity, and other characteristics of the material to ensure the suitability of the equipment. • Working environment: Evaluate the temperature, humidity, dust and other factors of the working environment to select the appropriate equipment material and protective measures. • Capacity requirements: Select the appropriate size and capacity according to the capacity requirements of the production line.   Lubrication of Heavy Duty Apron Feeder   To ensure efficient operation and prolong the life of a heavy duty apron feeder, regular maintenance is essential. Some lubrication points are listed below:   • Bearing lubrication for the spindle unit and tail tensioner is a screw cap oil cup that is oiled once every six months with 3# lithium grease. • Upper and lower rollers and load rollers for the pressure injection type oil cup, once a week refueling, the use of 3 # lithium grease. • Lubricate the traction chain by applying 3 # lithium-based grease directly to the chain once a week. • Lubricate the rear tensioner guide rail once every 15 days using 3 # lithium grease. (See transmission manual for transmission lubrication.)   Use and Maintenance of Heavy Duty Apron Feeder   • Heavy duty apron feeder must always maintain more than 500mm thickness of material layer on the load chain plate in the process of use, and it is absolutely not allowed to work in the unloading empty state. Once the unloading empty phenomenon occurs, the load chain plate must first be laid powder, crushed material to meet the requirements before normal feeding. If there is a blockage of large materials or a bulge of materials, it is not allowed to remove them by blasting.     • The distance between the discharge opening and the load chain plate should not be less than 1.5-2 times the largest block of material. The distance between the guide plate and both sides of the load chain plate should be 30-50 mm after installation, and the distance between the lower edge of the guide plate and the upper surface of the load chain plate should be 10-20 mm.   • The pitch of the load chain will increase due to wear, and the chain should be replaced when the increase exceeds 6mm, or the sleeve can be rotated at an angle for further use.   • The working condition of the running mechanism should be checked at all times so that the degree of tension is appropriate, and if any screw is found to be loose, it should be tightened in time. If the running deviation phenomenon is found, the rear tensioner should be adjusted in time.    • When replacing the load chain plate or traction chain, the coupling bolts should be coated with 352 or other grade of anaerobic adhesive to prevent loosening.   • If any abnormal phenomenon or malfunction occurs in the course of operation, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection, and the machine should be allowed to continue operating only after the cause is found and the malfunction is corrected.   Whether in mining, steel, cement or power plants, heavy duty apron feeder play an important role in improving production efficiency, reducing energy consumption and ensuring continuous operation of production lines.
