1. Structure and Components
• Vibrating device: This is the key part of the equipment, which can produce vibration so that the material can move smoothly on the feeder. It is usually composed of components such as a vibrating motor or an eccentric shaft. These components ensure the uniform conveyance of materials by generating regular vibration. For example, when using a vibrating motor, the rotational speed and vibrating force of the motor can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the materials and the feeding requirements.
• Grate bars screen section: It consists of a set of parallel, wear-resistant grate bars with a certain spacing between them. This spacing is designed based on the aggregate particle size to be screened, and its spacing comes in three specifications: 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm. For example, when processing construction aggregates, if the main objective is to screen stones with a particle size larger than 50mm, the grate bars can be set at a 50mm spacing. In this way, smaller particles will fall through the gaps between the grate bars, while larger stones will be transported to the subsequent crushing equipment on the grate bars.
• Chute: Used to carry and convey the aggregate. The shape and size of the chute are designed, taking into account the fluidity of the material and the feeding volume. It is generally made of welded, wear-resistant steel plates, and its inner wall needs to be wear-resistant to endure long-term aggregate friction.
2. Principle of Operation
Vibrating devices such as a vibrating motor or an eccentric shaft operate to make the entire feeder vibrate. This vibration is transmitted to the aggregate in the trough.
The aggregate starts moving on the grate bars screen under the action of vibration. Due to the inertial forces generated by the vibration, the aggregate moves forward in the direction of the grate bars.
During the movement, the smaller-sized aggregates fall through the gaps between the grate bars, achieving an initial screening. The larger aggregates continue to move along the grate bars and are transported to the subsequent crushing equipment or other processing stages.
3. Application Scenarios
• Mining industry: After mining, the ore needs to be crushed, screened, and undergo a series of processing. The vibrating grizzly feeder can uniformly transport the mined ore to the crusher and perform an initial screening on the ore, separating out small particles of ore and improving the efficiency of subsequent crushing.
• Construction material production: When producing construction aggregates such as sand and gravel, it can receive raw materials from the stockpile, such as river pebbles, mountain rocks, etc., and supply them stably into the crusher or sand-making machine. Meanwhile, the screened fine-grained materials can be used directly as finished products or in other auxiliary processes.
4. Advantages
• Uniform feeding: The feeding speed of the aggregate can be precisely controlled by the vibrating device, ensuring that the subsequent crushing or processing equipment receives a stable supply of materials, thus enhancing the efficiency of the entire production process.
• Screening function: The aggregate can be preliminarily screened during the feeding process, separating out small particles that do not meet the size requirements and reducing the workload of the subsequent equipment.
• Simple structure, easy maintenance: Compared with some complex feeding equipment, the structure of the vibrating grizzly feeder is relatively simple, and the main components are easy to inspect and maintain. If the grate bars wear out or the vibrating motor fails, they can be easily replaced or repaired.
